Privacy & your data

VocalTone works without accounts. Your browser holds a random private key; the server stores only a one-way hash of it, and every recording is visible only to the browser that made it.

• Audio is converted to mono WAV in your browser before upload.
• You can choose not to store the audio at all — only the numbers are kept.
• Nothing is shared with third parties. Ratings you give are used (anonymously, scores only) to calibrate VocalTone only if you tick the consent box.
• Clearing your browser data loses access to your history — export it first if you want a copy.
